I need to have a cheap computer for around $500-$600 by the 26th of May. I will have $400 this Friday for one, I saw some of the old Dell deals, but they won't be around that price unless you have some coupons or something, that I guess have expired. I am needing this as a present to my parents. I may be able to come up with $450 this Friday. That won't by a dell and if I wait another week it won't be here on time. What am I to do? Please give me some suggestions. They will be much appreciated. I don't want to build one for them, so that's out of the question. Please help me out.

Sunday Ad....Emachine...problem Solved. For 500-600 Dollars you should easily be able to pull one yet you also must realize that you get what you pay for and in the case of E-Machines this is very true

Ok, I think I found a way. I am going to buy the Dell 2350 w/o the monitor unless I can come up with the extra $100. The price of the computer is $389 I believe so I can order that on Friday. Then, I can always pick up another monitor or just purchase one from Dell for the extra $100. I think that's what I'll do. So, it will come to about $500 before shipping. Sound good? Where do I find all those extra value deals from Dell?

Are the monitor deals that great with Dell?....could you not buy one seperately the next week?...from a local store?

Hmmm....all Dell PC's still black?....I guess that makes finding a monitor seperately harder but not impossible.

I went through small business and came with a total of $506 all together. That's with a 17" monitor too. I think I'm gonna go that route. Any other discounts or coupons or codes (it asks for them online) that are out anyone knows about? That would be a great help.

What do you mean order now pay later? I don't want to finance one. Would they let me do that?

then by all means get a DELL...

Especially if they will not even need AGP slot, they will not need a custom build..
