I need a newbie guide to Raid with Ide drives. does raid speed up load times for games?

anyone know of any good sites that give info on Raid? i was reading in pcworld that it enhances ide performance with 2 drives. i was wondering if this also comes into play when loading games, installing files, moving data, etc.
 
i understood those pages, but some of the benchmarks were kinda cryptic. anyone care to give examples of running large apps and game loading times?
 
The answer to your question is Yes. Loading times, meaning the times it takes for data to be retrieved from disk and loaded into Memory to the CPU. But as for the games itself while playing, NO. Since the game runs only from Memory to the CPU.😎
