What do you think about this?

The combo seems to be a pretty good deal to me since I am in the market for both items. The service provider will be Comcast if that matters and I checked on their website and the sb6121 is supported.

I know that I don't have any ac adapters (although I may pick one up before too long) but range is my biggest concern and this router seems to do well in that regard.

Am I missing anything by going with the sb6121 rather than the newer sb6141? The 6141 having 8x4 instead of 4x4 channels and I'm not really sure what that means in real world applications (and I have no idea if Comcast has adopted 8x4 in my area yet).

I'm using that modem with my CableOne setup that is 60/4 and I regularly test out over 60Mbps down.

That router is a good one and if I wasn't happy with my current one and needed wireless AC, that would be the one I'd get. If I were to purchase a router right now, though, it would probably just be an Asus RT-N56U since I don't have any wireless clients that are AC and probably won't for a few years. For $110 difference, you may want to seriously consider if wireless AC is that important.

That would be $90 router + $67 for the modem = $157 though, so my savings would be only $43 since the modem comes with the router in a combo for the next couple of days.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and do it I need something regardless

Yeah for that, I'd probably make the leap, too.

For the price jump on it since you need the modem. Can't see paying $200 for a router but since your getting a modem you need I'd do the deal.

Looks like a pretty good deal. I have a 6121 that I'm quite happy with.

The router looks like a beast. Good reviews.
