I need a new TV..

I'm moving next month and I decided it was a time for a new TV. I've done a little browsing, but I'm not really sure what's good. The TV needs to be at least 37" and I have a budget of $1200. The only thing I've found so far that I really liked was the Samsung HL-S4266W which is right at my $1200 price range. So, any suggestions? The bigger the better.

pretty 😀

I prefer projectors myself... I think it's better bang for the buck IMHO. They come with their own unique challenges, but theres a satisfaction I get from having a 10 or 12 foot screen to show off 🙂

Yeah, I found a 57' Hitachi that I really like as well. I'm just not sure I'm up for the challenges..

Very nice. The only issue is wall space - as in I'm not sure how much room I have in the new house.

Unless you're always going to be watching in a dark room, projectors have nothing on regular TVs

You aren't using a bright enough projector. Past 2000 luminens, it's much less of an issue than you'd think

i just bought the 37" 1080p westinghouse and i am using it as a monitor right now but this would make a great tv as well.

I've been considering that model as my new tv, but I'm wondering how the picture is as you view it off-center. Does it degrade noticably?
