I need a new Refrigerator....Who makes the best ?

First of all Kenmore and Whirlpool are NOT the same. I used to work for a company which repaired them and the parts do not coincide nor do the model numbers of the refrigerators.

Personally I feel that Amana's are one of the most reliable and high quality appliances on the market today. They make just about everything, better than almost every other consumer level brand.

Wow....is that a walk in

I'd have to sell my computer to afford a Sub Zero....so that's out.

The Frigidaire that we have didn't hold up very well, I wanted to buy something better.

Here in CA the state is suppose to issue rebates for energy efficient appliances soon, so I want to take advantage of that.

It's good to hear the opinion of someone who's worked on them, I'll take a close look at Amana, and Kennmore.

One other thing, I bought one of those left side freezer/right side refrig 29.7 cubic foot jobs and realized only afterwards that it is kind of small. I used to have a top freezer/bottom refrig and had more refrig room in that model. I only bought the left/right one because it seemed more modern. I'd only buy the left/right model if I really needed more freezer space.

Although I've heard that the SUB-ZERO have very heavy doors and it is hard for kids to open.
