I Need A New PSU

Hey guys/gals, long time lurker, first time poster.😀

Currently, im shopping for a New Psu.

It will be going along with these specs.

X2 3800+
eVGA sckt 939 SLI Board
G SKILL 2X1GB RAM
WD 160 IDE HDD
XFX 7900GT

im looking to spend around $50, can anybody help a "newbie" Member out? 😛

$50 limits your choices quite a bit. There are some quality PSUs within that range but after shipping you will be over $50. I think your best option would be this 400W FSP unit. It offers a max of 29A on the combined +12v rails but it may be on the edge of supporting your system.

You would be much better off it you could stretch the budget to about $60 to $80. Then you would have much better options available to you. The last thing you want to do is skimp out on the PSU. A cheap PSU puts you at a higher risk of failure. If the PSU fails you run a larger chance of it damaging other components.
