ok my Logitch MX1000 isnt cutting it anymore and i would like a new WIRELESS mouse basically for gaming and normal everyday use, please forget the Logitch G9 as its the most disgusting thing ive ever seen.

ive been looking at Microsofts new 7000 mouse and for a mouse it looks hot.

its been a while since i bought my mx1000 so you can understand ive not kept up with the latest and greatest mouses.

Thanks for your help :)

I am using that mouse now. I got it as part of the Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 7000, part number FHA-00001. They have 2 other 7000 combos which are different and I paid $85 for the combo.

It replaced a Logitech 510 wireless keyboard and Logitech MX620 wireless mouse.

I like the microsoft keyboard a lot better. My accuracy with the Logitech was horrible. The Logitech keyboard is a lot nicer looking. It is sleeker and less bulky but I couldn't hit the keys if I wanted to.

The 7000 mouse is very comfortable. I think the Logitech might me a little smoother but not enough to get me to switch back. The 7000 is rechargeable too! I also had issues with the Logitech setpoint software.

So I recommend the 7000 mouse. You probably will get a better deal if you get it with the keyboard though.

another vote for the MX Revolution

i love the scroll wheel on this thing. if you press down on it once, it free spins, press it again and it scrolls click to click.

document flip button is very useful as well. if you're running like 5 different program, you can switch to them instantly.

also looks good and feels great in my hand. its got good range too, im using it from 3metres away.

another thing, :) it has a one touch search button. highlight a word, press the button, and it will show results from your prefered search engine.

battery on full charge is about 14days

quite expensive, but worth every penny. best mouse ive ever used.

The Microsoft 7000 does all that aswell, but for £20 less and imo looks much sleeker more comfotable.

I have an MX for me, and a VX for my mom. I love the VX for it's simplicity, quality, battery life, feel, and that wonderful mini-transceiver. I can say the VX is one of the best i've ever owned, just needed the functionality of the MX for my self.

Why is nobody mention about Razer mouse for gaming? It is awfully great! You should try with any Razer mouse. I got mine Diamondback mouse I love it..very smooth and very accurate.

The VX revolution is horrible. The scroll wheel which is supposed to spin freely does not after a short period of time. It seems the rubber insertin the wheel is too thick and it rubs so that the wheel doesn't move freely. If you search a bit you can find a supposed fix where you cut the rubber strip, stretch it and then glue it back down. I tried it but it didn't help much.

I actually called Logitech who told me the VX was pretty poor and they sent me a Nano as a replacement. That one is ok but a little small for desktop use.

No probs mate :)

ive still not bought a mouse yet so please keep offering solutions for me thanks.

i did some research on the VX revolution and as far as im aware the scroll wheel fault was on the earlier models and is now been rectified.

So far its a toss up between the#

Mx Revolution
Vx Revolution
Microsofts NEW 6000 or 7000 mouse

Is there anymore takers ?

oh my dad has the Logitech V450 mouse and its far too small for me to use so im hoping the VX rev isnt as small.

Thank you.

Where is the receiver? If it is plugged into a USB port in the back of your case and your case is under a desk, that might be the problem. The receiver probably needs to be on the desktop. I am using the Microsoft mouse but I had to get a USB extention cable for the receiver to plug into and that sits on the desktop.

Might not be the problem for you but it really helped with my setup.

Even if it is not the world's greatest mouse, it shouldn't stutter and lag.

Just as a side note, with the Microsoft mouse/keyboard receiver, if I plug it into the hub on my desktop, the machine won't boot. Thats why I got the USB extention so it could plug directly into a USB port and sit on the desk.

Keep us posted!

i was gonna say pebcak city....

theres just no way the rev is worse than the mx1000, i use the mx1000, its good. the rev is atlesat just as good unless the receiver is way off. the reciever should always within a couple feet of your desk, preferably within 1 foot really.

So to get the most advanced mouse in the world to work properly on a Desktop pc which is what its was desgined for i have to either sit under my desk or use a £1 USB extension lead, what are logitech playing at, why didnt they just put the reciever in the charger unit like on the MX1000 and then it would work straight out of the box.

The Mx Revolution is just an MX1000 in a diffrent shell with a gimmicky scroll wheel thats so annoying ive turned it off and put it on click by click mode.

Its not worth £20 nevermind the £50 i paid for it.

Can you please explain how this mouse is better for you than the MX1000?
