I want to replace my hard drive for my system (base system), I have two 40 GB WD hard drive for storage. What do you think?

Question: for games do you people install your games on your hard drive which contains the windows or on the extra hard drives?

Try this

Hitachi 160GB, $40...3 yrs warranty

to answer your questions: I partition my drives...1 for windows, 1 for important data, 1 for downloads, 1 for programs/games

If you can afford it, yes.

I would go for a 300-400 gb Seagate.

Partitions suck btw.

so you keep windows & everything on the same drive...?

partitioning makes backups, imaging, etc easier & faster
