Here's my options:

-Callaway ERC Fusion
-Titleist 983K
-Cobra COMP 414

Out of the 4 which is better? I am a mid-handicap at 13 years of age.

Thanks.

EDIT:
Check out http://www.customgolfsales.com/ for some decent prices.
The SMT O2 on the bottom for $99 is a great deal. The head alone sells for $119 (check out http://www.smtgolf.com/woods_O2.asp).

I've never even heard of SMT but I'm looking for a driver that I can hit at a local driving range to test it out.

They you should not even be asking, you should be out hitting them at the local driving range and find out what works best for you rather than what might work for somebody else. The head is fairly unimportant. Cleveland, Cobra, Titleist, Callaway, Taylormade, Mizuno, Ping, whatever. They're all going to hit the ball about the same distance and with the same accuracy. What's important is the shaft and how well the club fits you.

Well I kinda have a broken thumb for the next 2 weeks.

Dude you have no idea what your talking about with the head. Shaft I do agree plays a strong roll, but the material of the head, (carbon, titanium, steal, etc.) and the positioning of the weighting all have to be taken into consideration when purchasing a new driver. With the name brands you also get a boat load of researching and time taken to produce the club that it is.

Thank you though.

ROFLMAO!! Congrats, you're exactly the sort of brain dead zombie that the golf companies love. They spew forth some BS ad-copy about weighting and the fools lap it up. Do you think there's some magic happening inside a head? They all place the weight in the same place, low in the back of the club. No drivers are made of carbon. Some have carbon crowns, the rest of the body will be titanium. No drivers are steel anymore (it's not spelled steal) and if your first step in shopping is to list 4 clubs you HAVE NOT HIT as a starting point and you ask here hoping to find suggestions on how they'll fit your game, you might as well just give up. Throw a dart at an equipment catalog and buy whatever you hit. That'll have a better chance of fitting you than your current method will produce. Top 5 in the world: Tiger hits a Nike driver, Vijay hits a Cleveland driver, Ernie hits a Titleist driver, Phil hits a Callaway driver and Retief hits a Taylormade driver. If one was really superior you'd see everyone playing it.

Well first off I have hit the drivers and I thought the Cleveland felt the best. The only thing is I'm not to sure about the simulators at golfgalaxy so that's why I'm asking your opinions. Second off most little companys get the desighn off of the big names anyway. I know steel isn't used anymore but I just used it as an example. Third Pro/Am's that arn't endorsed still happen to use name brands. Forth I have done a ton of research on these products, read multiple reviews on each and this weighting and stuff does come into play. Fifth, the only reason tour players don't play one superior club is because they either play what's best for them or there sponsors club.

Taylormade has definately been my favorite the last few years.

Alot will depend on your size, and realize that the clubs you get now are an itermediate step. You will definately needs different clubs as you get older and your body changes.

I was a country club brat and started playing when I was 8-9yo, I was always a pretty tall kid (tallest kid in class) through middle school. But even as a big kid, ladies clubs fit my size and swing best until I was 14 almost 15. The last thing you want to do is play with clubs that are too long for you and develop bad swing habits. I would suggest if your less than 5-7" and likely to grow taller (family history,etc...) that you find a good used ladies set to play for the next couple of years until you grow some more.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that a fully grown man thats 5-6" should use ladies clubs. I'm saying a young man 5-6" that's likely to be 6-2" when grown, should start with clubs more porportional to their height to build proper swing motion

I'm only suppoase to grow another 3 inches in the next 4 years. So I wont expect to have to update anytime soon.

I don't know what your defintion of "best" is, but the Cleveland should theoretically be the easiest of the four to hit. The Titleist and the Callaway were designed for better players.

if you can scrape up a little more money, you can get a Taylormade R580XD for 149.99...
its worth it, as it was the best driver on the market last year until the R7 came out.

edit: thats price at dicks sporting goods... u might find cheaper online.

Guy at work bought the new Fusion and loves it. I am still hitting an old Titleist 983E, but may upgrade.
