What are wrong with these eBay ones:
$265 Shipped.

$250 Shipped.

$320 Shipped.

I know they are probably cheap and junk... but I know nothing about exhaust. I need the Mid-Pipe (with resonator), and muffler assembly.

I don't really want to rice out my STOCK 97 Accord EX, but if it is cheaper and better, why the hell not?

Monro wants ~$420 to do it.

If those eBay ones are junk, what is a good one to get? Any suggestions? Oh, and where?

I think I could install it myself. (friend has a lift)
 
Get a wholesale stock one. The ones you're looking at are fart pipes and i doubt you're interested in that.

Anyhow, the $250 is a very high quality exhaust (it looks to be genuine and not a knockoff) but it will be loud. Ah, I see $100 for shipping. That makes the price more realistic.
 
Yeah, I figured that all those sound like fart pipes... I don't really want that. A little more throaty sound wouldn't hurt though 😀
 
If that's what you're after look into an APEX-i World Sport or a Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion or even the new Magnaflow. I know the first two have a very mellow tone. I have a Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion and it sounded really good with my stock engine. Its loud now tho😉
 
Anyone else have any suggestions? I think I could just weld the breaks for now... but it won't last for another 6 months or so prolly.
 
I have a Chevy Beretta which is a TERRIBLE exhaust setup, very difficult and I was quoted $350 CDN for a 2.5" all the way (including downpipe) and resonator. No cat though...but you could re-use your existing one.

Try some exhaust shops before Ebay?

a lot of them do come iwth silencers.
 
check if u have a local junk yard (cars) and see if hey have any ... i've done that a few times although the parts weren't so important (ie. rear tail lights, wheels)

the place near me (rockville, MD) was very organized had all parts in a DB and located everything for me and i'd say it was dirt cheap, i dunno if all junk yards r like that though

The N-1 exhaust is still pretty damned loud.

CRXican, what do you know about Rice? All we know is you've got a CRX of some sort that runs mid 15's.........

Go on a car forum and just buy one on there for nearly free.

BTW, you can look into a Greddy SP2, basically anything that is chambered, not straight through for the sound you're looking for.
