I need a new case What should I buy?

Hello.
I am going to be building a new system in about a month. I know what components I am going to put in it, but I am completely stumped about what case to get. I am looking for an ATX tower with easy access to the innards. Not a bunch of screws and other nonsense that older ones have. I also am looking into modding it.. nothing much, just a window on the side. What does everyone recommend?

Oh yeah.. where is a place to get it from?

Thanks.

this case is a very good one. It does not have a motherboard tray (i dont want one anyway cuz it forms hot air pockets) like most ppl like but it has 2 spots for fans and is very nice and cheap. The power supply is probably crap tho but IMO the case alone is worth more than the 30 bux +12 shipping. So you'll have to get a power supply. You cant get an Enermax 465 combo'ed with a case anyway tho

Directron is a good place to buy cases. They have a huge selection and they also show pictures of the insides for you. Case Depot also have a good selection of cases and they have good prices also. I have gotten a couple of cases for Directron and their service was exceptional. I highly reccommend.

EEK!
Too many choices! I have no idea which one to pick.

How about this.. which case does everyone use/like? With a listing of 3 dozen choices, my mind is going to explode.

I like the Chenbro jr or Chenbro Genie available at Directron. They are well built and have the ability to use 120mm fans for intake and exhaust without modification. Both also have slots for fans to cool the drives.

<< I use Antec SX830. It's great case >>

Looks heavy though.. at least that is what someone said.

What do you think? Too much to carry up and down flights of stairs?

I think my next case will be the Fong-Kai 603, $60. Anandtech rated this one very high in it's review. Or try the Enlight-7237, $50 with 300W PS. I don't know how these will be for modding, but they're nice and simple.

I use this.

Beware though, the motherboard sits pretty close to the 5.25 drive slots. You might not be able to stick a long 5.25" drive on the third bay depending on what motherboard you use. The capcitators on the top corner of my motherboard will interfere with the installation of a drive longer than 7.25"

But other than that, great case. And a brand name PSU to boot!🙂

Oh and a tip, you might want to buy a case locally or at a computer fair. Shipping for these things are expensive! ($10-$20) Mine costs $49 at a local computer fair. And no shipping woohoo!😀

edit: i must learn to spell🙁

What is your budget?

I use the Q500.
Good value for the price.

But there are cooler (pun?) cases out there.

I have a supermicro sc750-A and I must say that it is an awesome case. Very nicely built and right now mine is going through a total makeover. If you want a top quality case, take a look at this baby.
