I have been watching posts forever about monitors and just can't decide what to do!
I want a black monitor approximately 19". The primary use is gaming (Max Payne, RtCW, Nascar 4, etc.). I would really like an LCD, however, I am rather picky about the ghosting issue. I have read a few posts here that Planar LCD's either don't ghost or ghost so little it really isn't noticable unless your looking close. I'm willing to spend the dollars, but I need to be relatively sure about the purchase.
I would still consider a CRT. I have researched several monitors and believe the following to be on my list: NEC FE950+B, and the Hitachi CM772U-511B. One AG and the other Shadow Mask. I have not seen the Hitachi, but I did see the NEC. The first thing to slap me in the face was the two black horizontal lines on the screen. I'm sure getting used to them is a possibility. Right?
I'm currently running a AIW Radeon and plan to get the AIW 8500DV soon, so I have the DVI thing covered if needed. I'm currently using an ADI MicroScan 6P, which I do like, but it's not black.
I would appreciate feedback from anyone who has these monitors or has seen them.
