I need a new bank.

I have commerce bank right now. Their hours are great, but their online banking stinks.... I need a new bank!

Some of the local banks seem pretty decent. We've got a bank in South Jersey called "The Bank" that seems to have great service. What about other banks? Does anyone here like them? Wachovia? BofA?

Thx,

Matt

their online banking has gotten better but still sucks.
i hate their minimum deposit but it's lower than most banks in this area.
also, they dont charge you fees for using other ATMs and using them at stores.

lilcam: You have Commerce? They just screw me left and right with fees. And their systems mess up all the time. And their lines are always long.

i dont go into their branch all that much but when i do they do tend to be long.
I try to go during lunchtime which is a little better since i work outside the city.
what fees?

In my experience, Wells Fargo is slow on showing you account updates online--only once a day, the next morning, sometimes as late as 9 or 9:30! (Exception: ATM/debit card approvals are shown in real time.) They also had a tendency to hold deposits hostage until the next business day--even if I deposited cash. Not recommended. FWIW, my cousin told me that "You Ass Bank" (US Bank) is the same way; therefore, also not recommended.

I use USAA, and they are AWESOME. Open 24/7. I get .5% back on debit card, and 1.5% cash back on credit card.

But you gotta be military 😛

Washington Mutual costs money right? And there's minimum balances? I wouldn't mind an online bank if I could somehow get my paycheck to them. If my company had direct deposit I'd be all for them...
