I need a new addiction, please help.

I need an addiction. Systems I own are Xbox 360, Wii, DS, and PC.

Recently beat GTA4, working on L&D, but I need something that I yearn to go play. I used to feel this way with things like Natural Selection and Sven Coop. I haven't found something like this in awhile. I thought Borderlands would be crack like, but it didn't work on me.

I found Supreme Commander 2 on the Xbox 360 pretty f'ing addictive. I love skirmishing against AI opponents, or just campaign. Mass Effect 1 and 2 also major sucked me in till 3 am many a night over the past year.

Sometimes I just think of Wow'ing my life again, but I'd rather not at this point.

Thanks.

Puzzle Quest I think is on all those platforms. Probably the most addictive game I've played since Diablo 2.

You can play Halo Wars against AI, it's fun but if you're into PC RTS games it'll feel cheap. If you liked GTA IV give Red Dead Redemption a whirl.

For some reason I picked up a cheap used copy of Lost Odyssey last weekend. I'm not really into the JRPG genre, but I thought I would give it a try since it was cheap and I was looking for something to entertain me for a couple of weeks. The game started out pretty slow, but the characters start to get interesting after about 6 hours or so, and I'm really getting into the combat system, and the story seems OK too.

i'm currently only playing ssf4, and before that was sf4.

i just find fighters addicting for a few reasons...

1. competitive and instant opponents due to online play
2. always room to get better
3. if you fuck up, it's because you fuck up, nothing to do with any AI or teammates messing up.
4. requires precision and execution and it is very satisfying
5. when you get to the higher levels, it is more of a mind game than anything else.

i think the last point is why i enjoy it the most. it is because you aren't really playing the game as much as you are your opponent.

it is kind of like high level poker. you play your game based on what you think and try to make your opponent do. big time mind games come into play.

Given that GTAIV and ME 1 & 2 are listed, Red Dead Redemption and Dragon Age seem like the obvious picks here.

I second the Lost Odyssey motion, it sucked me in many nights. You can probably find it fairly cheap now as well.
