I need a networking guru...

Hey.

Can anyone help me find out, why I can't FXP?

- FXP meaning to transfer directly from one FTP to another FTP, through me as some sort of middleman - so the FTP I'm transferring from will only see me logged on, and likewise with the FTP I'm transferring to - the point is though, that the data packets don't go through me, so my download/upload speed is of no matter.

I can log on fine to both FTPs - I can download/upload fine to both. But I just can't FXP! - it has definitely got something to do with my router settings (I have two), because a friend of mine can easily FXP from the same FTPs as I'm trying to FXP between, and he's even using the same program as me (it's called FlashFXP).

As mentioned, I have two routers - the first one, an ADSL router, forwards my open ports to the IP of the internet, 10.0.0.2, while the second router (the wireless one) forwards the same open ports to the local IP of my desktop machine. This arrangement works fine, I can use IRC DCC, direct connect, log on easily to FTPs - only problem is, that I can't FXP.

I hope this made any kind of sense - I'm not into networking as much as I would like to be - I had a friend help me set-up the two routers :/
