I need a low noise 110V fan

I am affraid I need to add one or two fans to my home theater receiver cabinet. Anybody know of a good silent AC fan and a source for it?

Papst, a German company, is generally regarded as making the best fans in the world. They are hard to find in the US, in part because they are marketed here as "EBM Industries" rather than Papst. I just took delivery of a new cooling fan for my Ampzilla, but have not had time to install same yet. It is marked with the Papst logo and has no reference to EBM anywhere on it.

The best sources for fans are www.mouser.com and www.digikey.com. Here is the link for the fan I bought. It is relatively low RPM (around 1800) because that is all the cooling my amp needs. Higher speeds always mean more noise, so get no faster than necessary.

My fan:

If you poke around those two companies you can find quite a bit of information. I deleted all my links after my fan arrived, or I could give you more.

I cannot get to your fan link. Could you tell me brand / model?

I have been doing some research and the quietest fans I have found are, in the 115V, 120x38mm, around 50CFM

ORION OA109AP-11-3TB 25dB 1600RPM Ball 51CFM (source has no stock : ( ~$15)

PAPST/EBM 4840N 26dB 1650PRM sleve? 50CFM

PAPST/EBM 4800Z 28dB ? ? ?

USTF USTF129381152T 30dB 1950RPM Ball 76CFM (at Frys <$15)

The PAPST are expensive, around $40.

jarsoffart, which ones do they have? I have done a search on ORION, PAPST and USTF and only founf some DC PAPST, which is nice to know they carry them, but no 115V AC.
