I need a long cable keyboard

Here's my situation. My computer sits a good distance from the desk. Wired keyboards can't reach, so I use wireless. But wireless keyboards are ridiculously unreliable. I guess it's all the noise in my computer area but the wireless signal is unreliable. Entries are missed constantly, causing all kinds of typos.

I'm rather fed up with wireless keyboards. Can anyone recommend a good USB wired keyboard with a very long wire?

How about using a USB extension cable?

You might want to consider a Bluetooth based wireless keyboard as well.

Keyboard extension cables are easy to find. They come in both USB and PS2 models. And, Oynaz is right about BT - you have up to a 30 foot range with BT.

A USB cable will work? I remember using an extension cable with my Guitar Hero 2 guitar and I kept missing notes. People on the GH boards said it was because if the cable is too long the signal degrades. Sure enough, play got a lot better when I switched to a wireless controller. (go figure).
