I need a linux live disk that I can use to make an image from a drive.

Anything small that can do it? I know I can do it in ubuntu but that's a large download.

Thanks!

Edit:

I was recommended http://clonezilla.org/

Thanks though!

I try to keep an Ubuntu live CD or flash drive with me all the time because the live CD lets you install apps while it's running.

That's really cool. I should start doing that

I'm trying to figure out how to take a physical machine and turn it into a VM

Any tips?

VMware and MS both provide P2V tools that support Windows and Linux. Linux is fairly simple to do manually too.

I did find VMware's.
I ended up cloning the drive with clonzilla then plugging into my mac and vmware thought it was a bootcamp partition and is now converting it.

I hope this works 😀
