I need a joystick, im thinking of buying either:

Logitech Strike Force 3D
-or-
Logitech Force 3D
-or-
Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback
-even maybe-
Logitech Digital 3D

I want to know whats the diff between the Logitech Strike force and the regular Force. i Know the strike force has like...2 more buttons...but is that all? If it is... then its not worth the extra $$. And does anyone have input on the SIdewinder Force Feedback? I dont want to spend $90 on a Force Feedback 2. So whats the big difference between the FOrce Feedback and the Force Feedback 2? ANd does anyone have a DIgital 3d joystick? THat one doesnt sound too bad, the only difference is that it doesnt have the force feedback feature. If its not that important, i would probably buy that one or a normal sidewinder....

THanks all!

The Logitech Strike Force 3D has a stronger force feedback, so... if you just want a force joystick, get the regular Logitech Force 3D. If you want a better, stronger force feedback exerience, get the Strike Force 3D.

I have a Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback 2 joystick, and I love it. 😉 I don't have a Logitech one to compare, so I can't tell you which brand is better. For good value though (it looks like you are concerned about the budget), I would recommend the Logitech Force 3D.

get a Saitek X36...man this thing is GODLY... 😀 It's a HOTAS stick btw...with messloads of buttons...and 3 modes for each button...gotta love it

other than that...i always preferred the Sidewinder line over nething else...very comfortable (for me)...i could play for hours on end w/o pain 🙂

The Logitech line of joysticks are comfortable too. 🙂

And LongCool, I definetely recommend you get at least some kind of force feedback. The Logitech Wingman Force 3D is only $60, which should be affordable for most people (yes, the SideWInder lines are great but $99 is slightly on the expensive side). And trust me, the force feedback changes EVERYTHING. ^_^ It's very different when you play on a joystick with no force and one with force. The game feels totally different. 🙂

thanks everyone! i guess ill go with the logitech force 3d for like $50. I dont know if the strike force 3d is worth the $65 for just extra buttons and the stronger force feedback. I might still get that one, since $65 isnt all that expensive. i just dont know if its worth the extra $$ thanks!

MS SideWinder Force Feedback 2. It rocks the house. A bit pricey, yes, but it is phenomenal. It's perfect for flight sims in particular.
