I need a home page w/o popups = suggestions?

Ideally I'd like a "home page" that tells me the news and info I want without any
"popups". Anyone out there like theirs?

Yeah, I like my.yahoo.com as well. You can customize it to your preference. Local weather, local sports scores. links to you favorite websights etc.

actually i just started getting a popup recently. I have popup killer though so it doesn't matter to me.

I think he means a personal website (that is not Geocities nor Lycos) not a start page, any of you who don't have anandtech as yer start page should be asheamed...I use my ISP's webspace, not huge bandwidth (permonth) but good enough for what I need.

I think he does mean a start page. Why else would he say "news and info" ? Personal homepages don't provide that sorta thing...

Personal home pages can provide anything you want, news, fav links, etc. Get creative. Use you isp's bandwidth.

Except you'd have to update your own page everyday after searching for the news yourself. What's the point? Just use my.yahoo.com.

nah, these news sites all have backends that there are programs out there which can pull the headlines and links from sites

I always have yahoo as my homepage. Always checking email/sports/news and it is very fast loading.
