I need a good universal remote...

I'm looking into universal remotes. I have never been much of a fan since I like to tweek my settings a lot. However I was just at a friends house and he had a pretty good universal remote. The feature that most grabs my attention would be the one button on off. I hate pressing aux power tv power and so on. Also I hate having to press aux then volume when I want to change the volume. I would like the remote to have an LCD. Another really important reason I want a universal is because my sattelite remote is really weak and is hard to get the signal. Thanks

Comp geeks sold a Sony VL1000 Learning Remote for 30 - 40 bucks. I dunno if they have any more in stock.

Radio Shack had a close-out on an lcd touchscreen remote control... it rocks for $20. Wayyyy too late for that deal though.

OMax as a crappy GE universal remote for FAR this week.

I'll second the MX-500 suggestion. They are very "wife friendly" because you can change the text next to the buttons adjacent to the LCD. You can find them from on-line vendors for approx. $100 - $110.

BlueDo is *very* reputable

Another vote for the Home Theater Master MX-500, I went though a bunch of remotes, this one even meets approval by the wife.

Grab a NiMH charger & a handfull of batteries too if you don't have some yet.
