I need a good label maker - quickly

I'm looking for a simple way to make some permanent labels. This is to go inside a device I'm shipping off on Friday. I'd like to have something that makes somewhat professional looking labels (especially for the lableing of the ON and OFF buttons). Also the inner electronics would be best if they were labeled so the end user can know what is going in inside. (Such as labeling the 120 VAC live and neutral terminals, etc).

Are any of those label makers you can get in stores such as Office Depot any good? Do the labels look nice, and do they stick? Any suggestions that are relatively low priced (B&M only since I have no time to order these)?

I used a Brother P-Touch to do the exact same thing you are doing, labeling electrical signals for some hardware we are developing. Works good, but the replacement labels are a little steep.

I second that.

Mine is a PT-1750. Think I paid $25 on sale. Uses 1/4 - 3/4" label tape. Make sure you get a model that can take an AC adapter.
