I need a good heatsink and FAN but it should be quiet

hi,

seems that all the OC-er's heatsinks and fans (sk6 etc.) cool down an OCed Athlon (1.4 to 1.6 etc.) pretty well. But they are too loud and (imho) too expensive !

I am looking for a good solution (XP 1700) for some overclocking....copper-basewould be great...but the fan should be at an acceptable noise-level (i'd rather run within specs than have a hoover-sound...)

My friend, you absolutely *must* search these forums for the word "quiet" and "fan" (as a boolean search). You will find more answers than anyone can provide in a single thread.

I'm going to order a Thermaltake 31CFM fan. It seems to be of a reasonable noise level in comparison to it's performance. As long as case cooling is good, it should perform well.

Get a Taisol or the Golden Orb. The latter is a little to big to fit normal size mobo.
