I need a good, cheap SFF for a clock-in station.

Environment: Childcare center
Used for: Clock-in station for parents to clock-in and clock-out their kids.
Networked to pc running a shared db.

OS: Windows 2000 pro

Hardware ports needed:
2 PS/2 ports
1 D-Sub
1 network port

A couple of items seen at newegg:
JetWay J627F800-OC VIA C3
Intel BLKD201GLYL Intel Celeron 215

The Egg has a small selection, but I don't need this but for the simplest functionality so I'm looking at the egg for price.

Also, I'm thinking of using a laptop hdd; do I needa special converter?

Edit: I have some cases with a 90 Watt PSU, so please comment on the power needs of the two links above.

Funny, I just responded to another thread with this response... Maybe I got the two confused.

http://www.logicsupply.com/

is the place i go for small embedded applications. My windows XP embedded footprint is about 120megs- 200 megs, so for most of my applications, I have the nano or mini ITX in a case that is suited to the environment. (a few of the ones at the website can be bolted directly to the wall or under a desk)

So for the drives, I use a IDE/CF adapter that supports DMA and then buy a 256MB, DMA capable flash drive. The cases I tend to use for inside applications (for places with airconditioning), I use only fanless ones, so the entire unit has no moving parts and is compeletly silent. Great for internet kiosks. The prices are a little higher then newegg, but not by much. Plus they have a ton of supplies and gadgets for tiny pcs...

then if you are really curious or savvy, check out windows xp Embedded. It lets you customize the OS so you not have all the junk that normally runs in XP. Great for pcs that will do a specific function, but you don't want to get special software or drivers, since it is still windows XP. Some people have gotten their os footprints as small as 90 megs, but the smallest that I found so far is about 120 megs.
