Im upgrading my system now to PCI-E and I need a decent card thats around 100. I was looking at the MSI 6600. Anyone have any experience with them? Any other recommendations?

I used to game alot, but now I dont really have much time to. I'm worried that in the future I will get back into gaming, but be stuck with a crappy card.

Geforce 6600 Vanilla would be a nice step up in feature set and performance.

A 128bit 6200 (non turbocache) would be a good option as well.

The X600 Pro is just a PCI-E 9600P.

And considering a 6800GT is faster than a 9800P, without glancing at charts id say thats false.

If you're looking for a cheap and good card might want to check out the refurb section at newegg. I picked up a $140 card (on froogle) for $72.99 shipped.

either get a 6200 or 6600

the 6200 can have pipes unlocked and then be OCed to make it a 6600

or you can dish out some more cash and be guaranteed to have a real 6600 (6200 softmod isnt guaranteed)

the x600 isn't that good, plus it only supports SM2.0, where as any 6xxx card has SM3.0. So, for better performance, SM3 support, and only $115 or so, the 6600 would be your best buy.

plus, i think the 6600 would OC a whole lot more than an x600.
