Well, I bought a new computer recently, and now I'm picking up different games that I previously couldn't run. The problem is, I'm not having particularly fun. I need some game recommendations, and no, it doesn't need to be brand new or have extreme graphics and nor does it have to be a certain genre since I play most kinds of games. This post isn't gonna be short but if you don't feel like reading it no one's forcing ya.
I previously played World of Warcraft like a madman, being the MMO-fan that I am. Well, I've got pretty bored with it by now though.
I finally tried Crysis, and while it has some pretty graphics (although I expected even better), it became dull and repetitive pretty quickly because it feels like I'm using cloak every few seconds to own everything. Boooriing.
I heard Fallout 3 is being considered the best game ever by many. Figured I'd pick that up, too. I agree that the game is really well made, but it becomes terribly slow at times. Best non-MMOG I've tried since Titan Quest though which I had a lot of fun with in the past. Probably the worst is that I get random lockups every now and then (and no it's not my computer... it happens only in this game).
Civilization 4 is a long time favorite, although I've played it so much I got bored with it. Figured I'd try the new Colonization, but I got bored there too. I need something a little more catchy and refreshing than that.
So I tried Left 4 Dead. Wow, this one is actually really great! Only problem is that I wanna hold off on it for a couple of weeks to play it online with my brother when he's got the time. I don't wanna run through the game before that. Great one this otherwise!
I borrowed Hellgate: London from a friend of mine. This game was pretty interesting, for a couple of days. It is now uninstalled.
Next up on my list is Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor. I'm still waiting for this one to arrive, but hopefully I'll like it. A friend of mine plays it every day so I assume it's not that shabby.
I feel like I've just gone through some of the supposedly greatest, and I'm not hooked on any of them save Left 4 Dead which I wanna hold on with for a bit. I guess I'll get some Fallout 3 going for now, but really, give me some recommendations of games you like. Which games blew you away or made you stuck for quite a while, and if you're not in a hurry, what was so great about that or those games?
