I need a fun, easy, cheap RTS!

I can't seem to find a game that's fun and easy. I've been playing Starcraft and Age of Empires for ages. I have Company of Heroes and Empire but I completely suck at them.

I liked Total Annihilation way back in the day and I do have Supreme Commander but I found it to be too complicated.

Recommendations?

Which Age of Empires have you been playing? I've enjoyed all three of them myself.

No, bad, wrong, don't do it!!!

I enjoyed C&C3. Since it can be had for cheap, under 20 pretty easily, I'd say its worth it.

Also enjoyed RA3, but more for the comedic factor than the actual gameplay.

Supreme Commander was also enjoyable.

I would say Stalin Vs Martians, but I don't think you can buy it anymore. It's cheap, stupid, and immensely fun.

Forget RTS and take up something else?

Apart from that everything people have said here is a good suggestion, forget C&C games though they suck.

Ground Control is free now as is the original C&C:Red Alert.
If you haven't played Homeworld, that's a great RTS, though I won't say it's easy.

No units, just base building. One resource. Cheap, but fun. I have definitely gotten my moneys worth. It has been on sale for less than its list price, but even at full price, 9.99 isn't much.

Sounds more like a Tower defense game than a RTS. Though I guess you have to collect resources than getting resources from kills.

Supreme Commander can be had for $10 at Best Buy. It has a great online following also.

You may really enjoy the Battle For Middle Earth RTS games...they are not difficult.

I would suggest Rise of Nations also, as well as Battle for Middle Earth 2. I would not consider the Command and Conquer 3 or Red Alert 3 to be that easy. I found them more difficult than Rise of Nations.

BTW, I think everyone assumes you are talking about single player. I have found almost any RTS to be very difficult if you go online against experienced players.

Age of Empires 1 and 2. I have the expansions for both.

Idk really. I used to love the genre, but I can't find anything that good.

I liked Red Alert 2. Are the newer ones pretty much the same thing?

Is Rise of Nations complicated?
