I need a fan fix on my PNY Ti4200... getting noisy.

Yah, you heard me, even with the release of the 7800 I'm still using a Ti4200.
Actually, I like my 4200 just for the software nVidia provides to manage my dual monitors.
I don't use it for gaming anymore, but I'd like to shut it up for a while.
Is there a way to quiet the old fan or replace it with a new fan or replace it with a fanless solution? Of course it must be a cheap solution or I could just buy a nice fanless card.

Find a cheap cooler to replace what you got or.

Under 100 get a Radeon 9800 pro.
Under 200 get a NVIDIA 6600GT.
Got 300? Then get NVIDIA 6800GT.
Got more to spend NVIDIA 7800. Send me 50.00 also.

Since your AGP Your in the Under 200 area otherwise you would should be looking to upgrade your systems Mobo and Chances are CPU and RAM.

Thanks, but for $20 I'd really like a fanless solution, not a solution designed to help an overheating "gaming" gpu. If gaming was still my thing, I'd definitely upgrade my card.

Hehe, thanks, I was just on that page. I was looking at the Cooler Master VHC-L61-U1 because of the price. My PNY probably doesn't require a high-end cooling solution, infact I may be able to get by with just unplugging the fan if no gaming is in order.

I'd like to get some idea if the Cooler Master or a cheap Thermaltake would fit that card.
