I need a DVI-D cable but store lists as DVI-(M).

Newegg has this in both 6' and 10' lengths. Is there any performance penalty for going with the 10 footer?
I just got a 17" NEC LCD and it didn't come with that cable.

Fro the picture it looks like a dual-link DVI-D. When they say (M), they mean it has the male connector (pins out).

I just bought one of these two days ago off ebay, it was 'Buy it Now' for $2 with $4 shipping. brand new. Go look on Ebay, you'll see 50 deals for under $8. Just search for "dvi cable".

Yes, that looks good. I forgot to mention, you probably need a single-link, not dual. The one you linked to is a single-link.
