Well I really don't have an absolute need for a digital camera, but you know when something funny/rare happens and you wanted to share it, those things come in handy. That's why it would be a waste of money for me to go and spend 100+ on a camera I don't really have a regular need for a camera, at the same time I want to take pics at a reasonable quality and I really don't need to take pics that are more than 1280x1024 resolution wise, and just want a camera that is small, practical and looks good, that I can put in my car in case I ever need to use it.

Here are a couple of cameras that got my attention lately and I have ordered them according to preferences match :
Polaroid
Vivitar
Vivitar

That polaroid seems good for what I need but I need to get some inout about it as the reviews don't seem too encouraging.
So start shooting the suggestions :D

I would not get a digital camera unless you are AT LEAST prepared to spend $150. This is the first one I would even think about:

I am not impressed with your choices. :)

Take an hour and go read some reviews on cameras.
This is a good place to start.............

From what you posted as your needs, I agree that $100, is good.
You can pick up a decent 3 megapixel for that price.

NEVER leave a digital camera in the car - they are at least as sensitive to temp extremes as a film camera loaded w/ film. They have recommended operating/storage temperature ranges just like most other electronics - definitely not up to the extremes of a car. Too cold can damage the LCD screens - too warm can damage the LCD and other plastic parts. Definitely need to read the care and feeding parts of the manual when you get one.

http://www.geeks.com usually have numerous refurbs at decent prices.

This one looks like it might do it for you:

Also, don't buy from beach camera, or buydig, or any of those cheaper places.

Look at B+H, amazon, dell (with coupons)... trust me, you'll thank me down the line

If you don't find anything you like over at the computergeeks site that Zepper listed, you might want to even try eBay. I just picked up a Sony P-9 4.0mp for $87 ($51 + spendy shipping to Japan :( ). I bought a Sony P-8 3.2mp new about 3 years ago. I'd taken roughly 30-40,000 pictures with it since then. It recently just died due to work abuse. LOTS of abuse. Tough cameras, the Cybershots. I had two previously and one of them flew out of my UPS truck as I was turning a corner. Survived with a few scratches and nicks, but worked perfectly. I bought the P-9 to replace the P-8. Figured a cheap used one would work just fine for work duty. I recently bought a Canon IXY 700 (SD500), but at $400, it's a bit out of your range ;) (nice camera, tho'!)

You might want to try local pawn shops, too. Might be some good deals to be had. And you can dicker with them. Otherwise, eBay's a good place to find deals. I think they're out of your price range, but just in case- I suggest staying away from small, flat models where the flash is next to the lens and the lens does not extend out of the body. Before I bought my Canon, I had a Nikon S5 for a couple weeks. Ruined a lot of pictures because the Red-Eye flash in low-light situations makes spots on pictures. I figure it's a design flaw. Have seen mention of it on a review for a Sony T5 (think that was the model), too.

I have had several digital cameras in the last few years.

My current model is the Canon SD400 which goes for about $200 USED.

I was recently in the market for an inexpensive model for my son to take on his school field trip to Wash DC.

I did some research and came up with the Kodak C300.
It's $89 at Circuit City and takes decent photos.
It does best with outdoor shots.
Here's a photo my son took with the camera.

I don't think you can beat that camera for under $100.
