I need a decent motherboard

I was thinking about replacing the motherboard in my computer, and I was wondering if you had any suggestions for a more mid-level motherboard I could buy, since I'm just gonna get a new computer in about a year anyways. I don't want anything top-of-the-line, just something decent that will hold up for a year.

Amd Athlon XP, what fsb, etc...
Intel ? what socket, P3, P4, what FSB, etc....


Also do you want Vidoe onboard, DDR ram, singl Ch or Dual Ch memory, etc....
