I'm looking for a cook book w/basic stuff that doesn't require all day to prepare. I just need a bit more variety at dinner time, s0 I'm not looking for some 8 course uber-meal that takes 72hrs, 3 chefs, and a helper midget to prepare. Thank you for your support.

Not to hijack this thread, but y'all know of any good online recipe sites with pics? I want pics of the steps in-between so I can tell I'm not way off while cooking.

This site All Recipes has many how-to's, covering basic techniques which can be applied to any recipe.
All Recipes also has a large recipe database

Recipezaar is another excellent site which contains a section rating recipes on preparation time.

When i first moved out on my own i got "cookbook for dummies" =) my sister gave it to me.

it does not have any good recipes but it does tell you the terms and some tips.

I also get recipes sent to me in the mail every few days and look on the internet for them. you can find them easy.
