I currently have an EPOX 8K7A that is three yrs old and dying. I want to pick up a new MB, but I don't want to spend alot as I probably won't be using a Socket A processer that much longer. I do game quite a bit, but I'm waiting to completely overhaul my system.
Current specs:
XP 2200+
ATI 9700 pro
512 MB PC 2100
80 GB WD-8 MB cache
I saw several for $49 at Newegg, (Epox, Gigabyte, Asus among others). I'm looking for some ideas about which chipsets are best and any boards I should stay away from.

Here's a couple I was looking at:
Gigabyte
Epox

Check out the Shuttle an35n-ultra. It's an nForce chipset-based mobo and goes for about $55.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna go ahead and get the Shuttle board. I've only used Epox and Abit boards in the past, but this board seem to be very popular. Can't wait to get it.
