I need a PC for Music and internet and i want it be as cheap as posible but still good IT MUST HAVE A KICK ASS PSU IT WILL BE RUNNINE 24/7/365 AND MUST MUST MUST HAVE A BIG HD ATLEAST 300GB AND AMD PROC AND MUST HAVE 5.1 SURROUND SOUND CARD AND A GRAFICS CARD WITH HDTV OUTPUT
 
no monitor only wireless mouse and keyboard, i will be using my plasma tv as a monitor thats why i need a grafics card that hase an hdtv output
 
motherboard: tforce 6150/6100(comes out next week?)
cpu: sempron?
ram: whatever
soundcard: chaintech 7.1(the one with the envy chip)
psu: forton/seasonic(?)

Do you need an OS or are you going linux? Kinda looks like you aming for a roll your own tivo 😛

Dude your value ram link is for DDR2....not yet for AMDs.....

I would spend 129 and get DDR PC3200 by patriot capable of cas 2-3-2-5...I also belive you can get a graphic card not as powerdul and expensive as a 6600GT and have the HDTV output...may save some there...

 
as for psu, haha, just posted somewhere else on that. one company to rule all: pc power and cooling. their 470 watt supply should be ample, and i think is on sale for 89.99. but keep in mind, their 470 watt power supplies are like most other companies 500+ watt jobbies.

I have to say though I like the ATI cards when it comes to any output to TV...I have just always seemed to have better quality looking stuff in that area with ATI...

Does anybody now if the X300 or X600 cards come with HDTV out???

You're right. I made a boo-boo. I searched for hdtv, radeon and pci-e at newegg and these were the results. I should have looked closer. 😱
