Before anyone says this, i know. You get what you pay for. I'm all for good sound, and have thousands invested into my home audio system. But my car has crappy speakers and i can't afford to upgrade them right now, and nor can i afford to buy a really good MP3 player and get the speakers later. So i just want some decent used player that i can abuse for some months, and then sell off for pretty much what i paid for it, and buy the stuff i really want. So with that out of the way, what should i get? There are only two requirments: it's cheap and it's by a known manufacturer.

I picked up a used, but like new, Jensen MP3510 MP3 player for my car for $110 from the FS/T forums, probably even cheaper now if you can find one. I have been relatively happy with it, much better then the 8-track, hehe.

I digged around eBay and it looks like i can get something for as low as $75. Crap though. The cheapest name-brands are used AIWAS for about $115.

Don't get an Aiwa mp3 player. They're one of the worst, unless you get their high end ones. A jensen should be fine. I used to have one and it was a fine mp3 player
