... where can I find it? I've considered the 15" MBP, but I'd like to know what the alternatives are? I definitely don't want a desktop replacement, so nothing over 15" in size. Anyone have recommendations?

Edit: How are Sager laptops? They have the parts I'm looking for, but what about the physical build of their laptops?

ASUS and Sager make what you want. Sager makes a very good gaming laptop. They are somewhat better than ASUS units but a little more expensive. The thing that makes Sager better mainly is their cooling system. ASUS and others don't do their cooling as well although they can offer the same components for a little less. If you buy a Sager go through a 3rd party like XoticPC. They will give you better customer service if you have questions or a problem down the road. Same goes for ASUS.

Also be aware that places like NewEgg sell ASUS units but they are usually watered down versions in some way. For example the GPU may not be the same fast unit or the hdd may be slower like 5400rpm instead of 7200rpm. That is how NE sells them cheaper.

Alienware is another choice but I never have liked them because of their overly expensive prices. Not saying they are not good. Just saying I feel they are over priced and over hyped. I don't buy from companies like that. Can't hurt to look at them though and compare.

I'll check out Asus, but from what I've seen they don't have a laptop that offers all of these combined:

SSD
i7
Gaming GPU
Less than 16"

The Sager ones look good, I'm just worried the laptop is too thick for carrying around (only judging based off of the online gallery).

Also, anyone know what the desktop equivalent is to the GTX 560M?

HP, Dell, Lenovo all make laptops good for gaming. You can always add your own SSD.

An example.

Hmm, I never thought about adding my own SSD. I guess I'd need to find out which laptops are better suited for that (I'd want to take out the existing one, not have them in together).

It's a 550Ti.

Specs of 560M: http://www.geforce.com/Hardware/NotebookGPUs/geforce-gtx-560m/specifications

By the way, is that what you're considering the threshold for a gaming GPU?

If you're willing to drop down lower (the HD7690M, which is about 2/3 the speed of the 560M but still faster than the 550M), you can get a 5.8lb HP with blu-ray, 15.6" 1080p, a Sandy Bridge quad, 160GB SSD, and 8GB for under $1000:
