I need a 120x25 case fan....

I need just 1 120x25mm case fan for my sonata II. I still can't decide which one i want. I've looked at the nexus real quiet case fan...and it seems just about perfect, but when i want to game i want to use my fan controller to put the db up to 30 to move at least 50cfm. the nexus is already capped at 12v moving 30 cfm. i want a fan that can perform like the nexus at like 5v, but can go up to 30 db and at least 50 cfm. i thought the panaflo l1a would be the perfect choice, but the dimensions are 120x120x38, which doesnt fit the sonata. any suggestions?

forgot to say that i think this is the fan i will buy.

Good luck finding one.

That is not a Yate Loon. Look at the model number. I made this mistake last week and ordered one from them. The fan came and it is not a Yate Loon, it is a young lin piece of crap.

Thats news to me!! A person bought 10 or so from them and posted pictures on spcr. I guess they changed their stock to cruddy fans!! Thanks for the heads up!

you are partially incorrect. Nexus = Yate Loon D12SL

I posted about the D12SM which is 1650rpm and blows much more air, but can be tamed if needed

If you live near a compusa, you may have luck with a certain Mad Dog 120mm fan which is actually a rebranded D12SM. Check out the silentpcreview forums to get the exact Mad Dog fan that is what you want. Only one specific type is the yateloon, i believe it is the blue led version.

yea but i don't really want that fan...it runs at 12v and only pushes like 30cfm. i want a fan taht is able to do this on 5v, so when i play games i can turn the speed up to 12v so it can be a little louder.

A lot of the so-called quiet 12cm fans actually have in-line resistors - so just get a good fan and run it off a controller to make it as quiet as you need. The CoolerMaster Aerogate 1 controller is $5. and the Aerogate 3 is $15. from SVC.com right now.
. Many fans have a Edit: 7-13.xV range of operating voltages so running it at 5V is not guaranteed (may work if you start higher and crank down gradually to 5) - some fans (e.g. the Sanyo-Denki I have) have a much narrower range (web site says 10-13.xV)

.bh.

Mouser Electronics carries lots of things DC fans included. They seem to carry just about ever fan Adda makes you should be able to find one that suits your needs, they are also very high quality.

Search for "AD1212HB-A71GL", it sounds just about right it has 85CFM @ 2200 RPM. All the Adda fans I've used in the past undervolt good and are pretty quiet when slowed down.

how can the yate loon go up to 1800rpm? its already at 12v.

It's different Yate Loon, it's not as if they only make one.

I just found this Delta, it also has the specs you're looking for.
