Just slap on another 100 months to save up for a year or two of insurance. Shoot, you'll have it made in the shade in about 20 years.

I'm not sure what the insurance cost will be for a car like that ++ driver age. But, inflation rate by the time that he can purchase the car would put that car over $40k. However, he could park the car in the driveway if purchase a 2003 car by saving $300 per month till 2008/2009 🙂
 
New S2k is coming next year. Bigger engine, more power, new bodywork, etc. Wait for that one.

And 30k is not going to buy you an s2k. Remember to account for taxes and insurance. As you might recall, I too was in the market for an s2k before I met some unfortunate news at work.
