Hello all, I put vista on my z60t laptop today and its a little slow but the main problem I'm having is my external lcd hanns g hw191d can't be displayed in 1440x900. I tried downloading the monitor driver and using windows to search for new video card driver but nothing is working. I have intel integrated 915gm video card. Any help please?!?

I know it's not much help, but my monitor works fine at 1440x900. It's 19" desktop LCD with an NVIDIA video card using DVI. It's probably the Intel integrated 915m drivers although I can't be sure. I believe the 915m doesn't support Aero and so it doesn't have WDDM drivers. You may try the drivers at intel for Windows XP. It probably works fine for Vista:

To be safe, you should backup important, non-recoverable data and make a restore point before installing it. If your laptop has a built-in memory card slot such as SD card, you can try to use it for ReadyBoost. Just make sure to get one that will pass the ReadyBoost test and is at least 1GB. I heard it does help noticeably for older laptops. And of course upgrade the RAM to at least 1GB. I will install Vista Business on my 700m (it's even older than yours with the i855GM chipset) along with a 1GB SD (not sure which yet).

You'll definitely want to find drivers for your hardware. Vista did a decent job of finding the drivers for my girlfriends laptops integrated card automatically. Until we did that though there were no widescreen resolutions available to her.

Hey, I tried downloading the latest drivers from intel posted but to no avail. Intel claims they will only make wddm drivers for 945 and higher chipsets. I am about to revert to xp because of this problem.
