you did tell the guy about his lawn didn't you?

I mean, you did fvck that sh!t up. And if he cares about it, it will have to be replaced with some of that roll out stuff. If he doesnt, then some seeds would do nicely.

Crappopotamus, I'm glad you learned your lesson. And since it sounds like you're a kid driving a car owned by (or paid for by) your parents, I hope you've learned to respect the car more.

Flyermax2k3, grow up. If you've had "race training," you ought to know better than to drive like that on public roads. Take it to the track.

whew! that was close!! be careful man, losing traction is fun, but losing control sucks... drive safe, play safe, be safe.

I wonder if he was trying to drift.

If you were, since you're driving an FWD you have to pull your E-brake.

No, you should use 'lift-off oversteer' with FWD cars if you feel the need to get the back out. The Hand(E)Brake should never be used for that, not enough control.

It's funny a couple of you people baiting by calling it an econobox. A civic is an econobox. I can't think of many econoboxes that start in the mid $20ks

just to see how far i can push it.

Insurance is high for teenagers, particularly MALE, because of exactly what you demonstrated us.

I would like to thank all the idiots that "test" there limits and raise insurance rates for me.
I did the same as a teenager as did all of my male friends. We all got in some accidents, so it's not surprising insurance rates are high for male teens. I nearly got in a major accident in a 95 maxima when I was a teenager. Part of the problem with them, especially the non SEs, is that they in many ways have more power than the car can handle. Understeer is a big problem and they don't handle like sports cars, even if they do have a good bit of power to them.

no kidding :| yes im going to a be a little safer from now on. ill still recklessly speed... take corners at high speed... but only when its dry. and only speed up when im around the turn. traction is my new best friend

Wtf? Do you enjoy oversteer or something? Sheesh.

A thrill is accelerating halfway through the turn, with RWD, and feeling the rear move outward slightly.

Or hell, fishtailing, swinging back and forth 4 times, without throttle (engine braking takes over I assume), as you take a left turn and having your roommate yell at you, and knowing that you caused a scene. 😀
NOT that I would EVER do this on purpose.

You don't want to be taking corners at higher speed than your tires can handle. That's worse than sliding in the wet, because you're going faster. When you lose control you may or may not know how to react. FWD cars are less intuitive too, according to some car industry guy, so you might hit a pole at 90. Maxima is not a sports car.

Something about speeding is very addicting. After every citation I tell myself, "I'm not speeding again." A few days later my speedometer is back in the 80's. 😕 No citations in the last 3 years (knock on wood)

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt....then it's just fun.

wtf?! You drive recklessly by your own admission, you nearly crash your (parents') car, you damaged some guys lawn (which you apparantly didn't take responsibility for), and you STILL plan on doing the very same thing that nearly caused the accident... just not when it's wet. You are a stupid, stupid moron. I hope you burn to death in a fiery car accident so that you cannot pollute our already crappy gene pool.
