The quote is pretty vague. Intel has Yonah coming out in Spring and Fall of next year, which is a 65nm part. Which should include xeon's. Yonah seems pretty competitive on paper, we'll have to see.

I don't know, his last post seems pretty reasonable. You dont believe the guys at Dell know what they are doing? Take a glance at their financials.

Time will tell for Mr. Dell.

If you can go from Northwood style performance to Prescott, its possible to from Bad to Good in 1 stage too.

Its hard to see AMD fall from grace but Intel can pull it out of the bag I guess.

Have you read fatty4ksu's history? I based my comments on all of what I've seen - it's a monotone loop of FUD.

And if you want to get into a debate of semantics: sure, Dell does know what they're doing. And pimping a stillborn, inferior product like it's the second coming is prudent for their bottom line because suckers will believe it or will want to believe it because you can find some pretty good deals on Dell servers if you look around.

But it's not the truth, and Michael Dell knows it. But what can he do, say that the new Xeons are sh!t and that Intel is scrambling to catch up, but they give Dell such sweet deals and have such leverage to force Dell to stay away from AMD? Of course he's going to pimp it to the nth degree.

So yes, he knows what he's doing. Doesn't change the fact that he's blowing more smoke out of his @ss than the entire Video board put together (myself included) ;).

Not to mention that he pretty much admits that AMD has been superior for quite awhile now, but if they could have held on for one more year he'd start selling them. Gotta love the logic.

Fatty, give up. Even a fanboy can see the obvious: the most die-hard AMD fans still admit Pentium-M is a great chip, so why can't you admit that no matter what Intel does (adding cache, 65 nm), they can't fix the NetBurst architecture? Come back when the new arch hits mainstream, then maybe your trolling will be semi-accurate.

Or it's Dell trying to publicly justify it's intel exclusive contract to it's shareholders in light of the performance edge that AMD currently enjoys.

I seriously doubt Dell has seen what intel's 65nm chips do compared to AMD's 65nm chips. It's simply too early to say which is the better chip.
