I must have Replacable Battery or Not

Do you require a non-replacable battery phone

  • Yes - I only buy phones with a replacable battery

  • No - don't be rediculous - I will always find a way to charge

Let me know if I am the only one left
thinking it's a good idea to have this option?

Also let me know if this has been already fully covered in yada yada which thread?

Is your upgrade cycle shorter than the expected life of the battery?

All phones have replaceable batteries...you just gotta work harder at it for some of them.

Sadly there's not too many phones with replaceable batteries now days so as much as I'd want that if I limited my choices there would not be too many choices. I

I would love to see a more open phone platform that has interchangeable parts, SD card slot(s) etc.... instead of being so closed.

That's the other thing that pisses me off, how the disk space is so low and they charge a premium just to go higher, it's retarded. It's all a big game.

KillerBee, are you bored? Anyhow, I have the HTC One M8 for about 6 months now, and since I have been a VZW customer for 23 consecutive years (with multiple phones on my account), should any of my batteries need replacing, I'll put the HARD SQUEEZE on Verizon to make good. They have ALWAYS come thru for me. Red Squirrel, I agree with you about the storage considering how cheap those memory chips are in bulk and how much the end user has to pay. My phone came with 32 GB, and I added a 32 card for backup so I'll never fill up either one.

I "almost" upgraded to that phone, but found a refurb T399 Galaxy Light for $55 shipped. First smart phone in the family, we all have a pc, notebook, and tablets, so use our phones to talk or text, not surf etc. So far having a lot of fun with the phone but no actual use, just wrong numbers.

I've got spare batteries for things like cameras, but I can't see owning a spare phone battery vs access to charging devices. Now that basically everything can be charged from a USB vs the old days of proprietary chargers, not an issue.

OTOH as soon as essential devices start to show lower battery capacity I replace the batteries with new usually better ones.

If you can't take out the battery, the big brother will always watch you. And listen.
