Okay, so it showed up a day early. I just got home, so of course I ran out to install it in the middle of the night 😀 Quick review:
LED flashlight:
Actually this is pretty cool. It's probably about as thick as 4 credit cards and has a bump in the middle, so not exactly razor-thin, but it has two SUPER bright LED's, and the lip around it is clear so it kind of lights up neat. Surprisingly useful. Way better than my iPhone as a flashlight.
Non-skid phone pad:
I don't know what kind of magic voodoo sauce they made this out of, but I'll be darned if it doesn't work exactly like it did in the video. I pulled my console all the way up and the phone did not fall off. The bottom of the sticky pad is actually less sticky than the top, although my center console is carpeted instead of plastic and I think it's really meant to go on plastic. The phone is a bit hard to peel off because of the stickiness and the grid design left a mark on my phone (not greasy or anything though), so when I pulled the phone off a few times, the pad came with it. I could see this being better on a dashboard or something with a hard plastic surface, but...it's magic! I dunno, another surprisingly useful thing like the flashlight.
Crevice pads:
Ah, now on to the heart of the matter. It's basically like one of those door socks that you stick along the bottom crack of the door to prevent air from escaping into another room, only with a hole for the seatbelt latch. I was thinking it was going to be like a bean bag or something, but it's actually extremely lightweight foam inside from what I can tell. Not foam rubber, not even pillow foam, just like a really light packing foam. So that threw me off a little since I thought it would be cushier or heavier or something to fit between the seat (altough it is wrapped in thin neoprene). Turns out the foam is perfect, because the car only gives you an inch or two between the center console and the seat, so you have to kind of stuff it down in there, move the seat back & forth, and then the foam fills up the gap instantly. Turns out it works GREAT! It was very snug, and there's a piece that extends past the latch so that stuff doesn't go sliding into the back seat either.
I will be ordering another set for my wife's car  I think it could be a LOT cheaper (like $9.99 for a pair), but it also solves a *very* annoying problem that I run into weekly (especially since I have to wear dress pants to work and my wallet/phone always slides out), so I'm just happy to have a plug-and-play solution that actually does the trick.
