I must be the worst damn CS player in existence! Ok, maybe the second worst.

Man I suck, I just get fragged left and right by everyone! Except maybe Optical Rage hehe. I'd blame it on the fact that I'm using a modem line, but I really think I'm just bad at the damn game, I gotta learn how to use the damn weapons hehe. I'll try not to Flashbang myself next time.

Part of playing CS is realizing it's not about having good aim so much as getting the drop on the guy you are trying to kill. The person who gets off the first shot is usually the one who wins.

Well, we all have to start somewhere. I remember the first time i ever played Cs. I was a terrorist on Aztec. I went the water route, and once i was down there i couldn't get out. i was like WTF, this sucks, let's play Quake 3. Heh, until my friend told me to crouch while jumping, i wanted to leave the game. But i say i have improved a whole lot. At least those damn waterways don't give me trouble anymore.

benchiu: I used to be a very good Q3 player (haven't played in about 9 months) but then I started CS and was REALLY bad. There is a huge learning curve in CS because you have to learn maps in and out, team tactics, tactics for each map, as well as weaponry skills for a variety of guns, and techniques for other items such as grenades. First priority is to learn the maps. Then learn to shoot correctly. Then learn the tactics for maps and how to work with your teammates. Keep working at it, and you'll get it.

Look at it this way: Every time you die, you just learned something you should NOT do again.

To get out of the water jump and then push crouch while in the air. This got me for a while too. CS is very much a knowledge/technique games as much as it is a reflex game. Learn how to fire the weapons accurately (rather than just on auto), where to go to on maps, how to work as a team and you will be a good player in no time.

Gez, these Styers AUGs are popular on CS, You know there's a factory about an 1.5 hour drive from me (the Lithgow Armenents Works of .303 fame) that makes Styers for the Australian, New Zealand & Papua New Guinea armies, etc. They use to make them for the Indonesian Kopassos & Kostrad commandos (I think butchers is a more accurate word) but they then got embargoed when East Timor got in the news.
