I'm basically the hulk. Moved a treadmill down the stairs by myself. Unfinished basement, unfinished stairs. Will get lots of use down there this winter :)

Took it apart as much as I could.
Attached my motorized winch to a joist at the top of the stairs that was a triple.
Gravity did most of the work, I just moved it a bit when it got stuck various times.

So, like the hulk when he's just normal bruce banner. but still pretty cool. I'm happy.

No idea how it's getting back up. Not sure the winch was the safest thing in the world even though the weight was well under capacity. Need to attach it better.

Glad you did not kill yourself moving a treadmill.

You really do not sound very Hulkish.

I've moved my wife's up and down 3 flights of stairs by myself and ours was a monster weight wise. You need to get an appliance dolly.

Oh I do, plenty. But with the mileage I intend to put out this winter its really too much risk. Last winter I was just training up to 5k a few times a week and still slipped on the ice a few times. Plus its just not fun in the winter around here to do that. This winter I'm hoping to get my endurance up enough to run 5 min kms over a half marathon after biking 90km, at least. Ideally I'll blow far past that and towards my actual 2017 season goal.

Na, then I gotta put shoes on. My hood is actually kind of sketchy after dark -- there's like a shooting and stabbing every few weeks, there was even a bombing years back.

Lol at treadmills. They make nice coat hangers.

I decided to go to the gym instead. $40 a month is a great motivator to stay in shape. :)

Why not just walk to the gym, turn around and walk back home? Get exercise and save $40.

It only counts if you spend money. I propose making a donation to the eff after each walk to the gym. For weight training, he could carry his accumulated crap to the goodwill.
