I usually don't care as long as everyone is trying. If you aren't good staying with the group and watching the friendly fire means you are an asset IMO. I only play expert campaign so most players are at least OK in that.

I've had some weird griefers though. Sometimes I join a game and the first thing that happens is the only other human playing team kills me. What is this suppose to do? I'm not even invested in the game yet so I just disconnect and leave much rage. I have a SSD so it doesn't even take me a long time to load.

I'm sorry, but some people just take the game way too seriously. One miss by someone and they flip out. It's a freaking game and you are playing with random players, if you want to play a super serious game then find a group of like-minded psychos to play with.

I play with people that are horrible and if they are at least trying, then I try to help them learn the game so the community grows and there are more decent people to play with.

KT

Seriously this.

There are major dickwads playing L4D2 that has forced me to turn off the voicespeak. I know the drill. I'm usually number 1 or 2 out of both teams in points, I can take direction, I do cooperate and work with the team.

What I don't do is log on to play with some loser who takes the game too seriously, yells at you to do things, yells more, then screams and threatens with some entitled teenage prick's attitude just because things didn't go perfectly. It's even more hilarious when people start yelling more and more, expecting someone to do better. Lot of these idiots online nowadays as most of the casual players have probably moved on to something else. I should start griefing just to piss these guys off.

Noobs are annoying, but at least they don't bitch and scream. The game isn't ranked, it won't get you laid, and 40 minutes later (if the match even lasts that long without rage quitting), you'll start a new one.

Hmm...haven't ran into anyone like this. Worse so far was some guy was annoyed I was jump shooting and circle strafing instead crouching in one spot and letting them come to me. Annoyed, but not an asshole about it. Its so rare that you hear anyone speak. Maybe everyone is using something other than the built in voice.

There is nothing more fun than playing l4D/l4d2 on EXPERT with a good crew who works as a team.

The more and more I read your post I'm reassured how big of a douche bag you must be outside AT.

In his defense, he is basically responding to people who are flaunting their own douche baggery, and reveling in their self-proclaimed superiority in online video games while bragging about the fact they are internet tough guys and will be rude about it to anyone just trying to enjoy the game themselves.

Though I would probably be more diplomatic, someone needed to say it.

Need a list to clarify what I said?

check out this guys youtube channel for gameplay, it is like the Fallout series, but I really like the atmosphere of Dead Island, Note also that this is PS3 footage, not pc, but it still looks rather good.

Don't watch it if you don't want to ruin the story :sneaky:

Youtube Link

Lost interest when they revealed all the goofyass weapons and that zombies took 20 headshots to kill.

MIGHT still pick it up if it gets amazingly good reviews.

This is what keeps me out of a lot of games. Unless you stand in line (figuratively) for the games release and start playing on day one, you will be a noob and not know whats going on for a while. If it's been weeks or months since the release that effect is compounded exponentially.

I am a grown man and I don't need some kid yelling at me because I don't know where to stand when xyz is happening. I didn't pay for the game to listen to that nonsense. I don't know why you think you are more entitled to play the game than I am simply because I waited longer to start playing.

I wish there was a way to match players in a game with there experience level, but there isn't. I would rather not get killed in the first few seconds of a game by an uber experienced player either, kind of takes the fun out of a game.

If I can I will play with people I know, or stick to single player mode. If I do play multiplayer I'm glad there are people like KT that understands noobs and tries to help them, and that's what I do as well when I am good at a certain game.

Wow, I guess this was a sore subject for me. I didn't realize how much I was typing, lol. OK, I think you got my point of view. :D

EDIT: Imp, I wasn't targeting this at you, just using your comment as reference.
