I missed jury duty!

I had to postpone jury duty twice due to my job - i'm always travelling and out of town.

today i logged into my jury duty page because i thought my service was in august. however, it was 2 weeks ago!

what will happen? I am in California.

I have already emailed the jury duty people, so i'm waiting for them to reply.

Well, if you get pulled over for a traffic violation before you get it cleared up they're going to drag you away in handcuffs.

Depends on the state law.

This isn't legal advice, but I would think that an apologetic call to the court clerk explaining the situation and volunteering for jury duty at their earliest convenience would fix things. Even if you got dragged in front of a judge for it, being able to document that would probably get you off minimally. They're all people, everyone can relate to an honest mistake and appreciate an unconditional remedy.
