So WootAlert shut down at the end of July and I miss it. Does anyone have a good alternative?

I also have been checking out ThingFling, but I have yet to buy anything from them. Does anyone know of a WootAlert-type product for ThingFling?

ThingFling has "mystery boxes" which are like wanna be Woot Boxes Of Crap. MY GF bought 2 or 3 and now has enough S-video cables to set up a home theater with about 50 480p screens in it. And her last box had like 150 of these cell phone lights, apparently everyone got dozens and most don't work, even when they work they're cheap and ghetto.

Thingfling is like Woots retarded little brother.

The problem with Wootalyzer is that it is yet another program running on my computerS (multiple) and, even more importantly, it is not via e-mail, so it is useless to me if I am not actually on one of my computers (I get e-mail via my phone most of the day).

What did wootalert do? I can probably write a script that can send an email or text message based on whatever the script is supposed to look for.

Whenever a new Woot was posted (actually, in some cases, even before it was posted!) WootAlert would send an e-mail with "WootAlert" as the subject and a body in the form of "http://WOOT.com : Crap You Want To Buy - 1.99".

It also notified you of pending Woot-Offs.

I bet if you were willing to pick up the torch, you could contact Russell ( http://wootalert.opensight.net/ ) and he would give you the whole poop.

I am going to try Wootalyzer since it has an e-mail feature.

Is there a way to export/import the settings so I can copy them to my other computers?
