This is my 2nd week in my new classes, last semester i had Ap english, Ap biology, and Ap calculus ab...now i have leadership, us gov, and Ap calculus bc... These new classes are so easy i feel stupid, almost as if im cheating or something. The general population is eh not my kinda people i have realized...for example the guy who sits nexto me in gov got a 2/11 on a quiz because he was too lazy to get closer to the board to read the directions. So far in the 2 weeks of gov ive had i have learned less then what i would learn in an hour of biology ap...I wish i had my old classes back even with the extra workload....atleast i could have a semi-intelligent conversation. bah

If I had the attention span required, I'd love to take difficult courses... but I don't. :( I learn most by trial and error, inquiring on my own, researching in my spare time, etc... classes and homework do little for me. :(

You found AP biology hard. My senior year of high school was AP Phsicis, AP Stats, AP BC Calculus, and AP Biology and I learned almost nothing and thought it was easy and on the AP tests my lowest was a 4 on the AP BC Calculus and the rest were 5's. And i never did any homework nor studied for any tests, even the APs.

i know how you feel... my high school was a "college prep" school, pretty easy if you take the low classes, but challenging if you take the higher classes. even tho they were challenging i managed to do pretty good... senior year i was taking Calc AB AP as well as honors physics (no AP physics at our school). then last semester i started college and went to Calc II... out of 40 people, i was one of 3 or 4 freshman, i thought it was one of the easiest classes i had ever taken... by midterms there were about 20 F's and 3 A's... i was one of those 3 A's :) by finals, i had to get like a 35 on the exam to get the highest F...

this semester i might not do so well... not because its challenging, but because the professor is kinda hard to understand and doesnt explain things too well... bah

But what your going over is government and its easy to understand, unless your retarded. So there's nothing to learn, enjoy it while you can. It could be worse, you could be stupid and join the masses.

Wait until you go to a decent or good college or university. You'll see there are a ton of intelligent people. Some that could even put you to shame. Well if you have a semi-decent major you'll see intelligent people. :)

I couldn't even get into a f'ing Calc class this semester. Goddamn budget cuts, we dont' have enough classes for the ammout of students ... and the really frustrating part is that half these kids will drop after the first two tests. I know I can pass this course, and I want and need to move on in my life, but I can't. Pisses me off so much.

Update...

Half of my Government/econ Class is FAILING....this is a required class for graduation and this is their last chance to fail it. This has got to be the easyest class ever, so far everything weve done is common sense and if u cant understand it u can find everything in the neatly organized handouts the teacher has given us. There is like 3 A, 3 B, 5 C, the rest are D and F .... man i am really dissapointed in the idiots in my graduating class...

My junior year is AP Physics B, Calculus III, Linear Algebra, AP French, AP Biology, AP Comp/Lang. I've gotten A's so far and I don't start my homework until 10:00 PM :D

How is that "college prep"? Your school didn't offer AP physics? Senior year you took Calc AB?! That is 3 years behind my "college prep" school. By sophmore year there was nothing to really take by AP classes.

Schedule:

Chemistry
Quantum Mechanics <--- truely nuts
Diff Eqs (splashed with some linear algebra)
Japanese
Japanese Civilization <--- lotsa reading and insane terms to memorize

Everything seems easy compared to my physics class, where I'm getting beat down. Damn, the most important class I have pertaining to my major and it's also the worst I'm doing in :(

Yes, schools in this country are truly pathetic. What do we expect from a system designed to cater to the lowest common denominator?? While we labor to "leave no kid behind" the creative energy of anyone with even slightly above average intelligence is smothered in what are effectively remedial lessons. It's definitely an unfortunate situation.

Uh you think your high school was hard? I finished AP calc in 10th grade. 11th grade workload: AP Phys C Double Period, Analysis 2 (Multi Var Calc and Diff. Geometry), AP Lang/Comp, Computer Graphics (Java), Research Design, Honors Modern World History (No AP at the time), Advanced Application Software. Now.... college is a breeze

AP = Advanced Placement
IB = International Bacchelaurrete, I think (or however you spell it)

They're basically "college level" intro courses that you're allowed to take in high school for the purpose of testing out of similar classes in college. Thus, you can graduate early, or take a more interesting courseload than the majority of other college freshmen.

Edit: I always did love how the fun thing to do in high school was list the difficulty of your courseload while at the same time insisting that you "never do my homework," and "never study"...and then in college, everyone wants to remind their classmates that they sat up and studied 14 chapters in advance last night.

:)
