My uptime shows our server has been up 300+ days. That sounds good but yea I know, it's been a while since it was last patched. Anyways, I havent run into any issue ever since I brought our mail services in house. People actually love using Squirrelmail that many have asked to ditched Outlook.
I've been following Linuxworld and came across a company called Scalix. They offer a product similar to that of Microsoft Exchange, but they have a free version that enables users to access their emails via the web. This is perfect for what i need. What's tempting is the ability to plug into Active Directory. This means I dont have to administer two separate accounts and users dont have to remember two separate passwords. I am trying to synchronize our applications by using just one password.
Anyways, I'm a HUGE fan of FreeBSD. Scalix's product only runs on Linux (Suse or Redhat). I can't do anything now since the new school year starts in a few weeks, but I'll keep an eye on this company. Has anyone used their software before?
Scalix Corporation
